About The Client:
Client is a pioneering Software Engineering and IT consultancy company, transforming and executing at the intersection of Domain and Technology to create digital leaders for our people, clients, partners, and communities.
Essential Job Functions:
- Perform manual and API testing for banking and financial applications
- Design, execute, and maintain API test collections in Postman
- Validate REST APIs including request/response, headers, authentication, and error handling
- Write Postman scripts using JavaScript for assertions, pre-request scripts, and environment variables
- Perform integration, system, regression, and UAT testing
- Understand and test banking workflows such as payments, transactions, accounts, loans, cards, and KYC
- Validate data consistency across APIs, databases, and downstream systems
- Log, track, and retest defects using tools like JIRA or similar
- Collaborate closely with developers, BA, and product teams
- Prepare test plans, test cases, and test execution reports
- Experience: 4 to 6 Years
- Strong hands-on experience with Postman (must-have)
- Banking / Financial Services domain experience (mandatory)
- Solid experience in Manual Testing and API Testing
- Strong understanding of RESTful services and HTTP methods
- Experience with JSON, XML, and API response validation
- Knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and defect life cycle
- Experience in writing API automation using Postman collections
- Familiarity with SQL for data validation
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology
