Role Descriptions: A Web Application Tester ensures the quality| functionality| security| and performance of web-based applications before they go live. They are responsible for designing| executing| and documenting comprehensive manual and automated test cases to detect bugs| usability issues| and performance bottlenecks across various browsers and devices. Key ResponsibilitiesTest Execution Perform functional| integration| regression| usability| and security testing for web applications.Test Documentation Develop detailed test plans| test scenarios| and test cases based on project requirements.Defect Tracking Identify| document| and report bugs in tracking systems (e.g.| Jira) and verify fixes.Collaboration Work closely with developers| UIUX designers| and product owners in an Agile environment to improve software quality.Automation Develop and maintain automated test scripts for recurring test cases.Cross-Browser Testing Ensure consistent performance across different browsers (Chrome| Firefox| Safari| Edge) and devices (desktop| mobile). Required Skills and QualificationsTechnical Skills Experience with web technologies and bug tracking software.Testing Tools Proficiency with tools like Jira| ALM etc.Methodologies Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Quality Assurance (QA) methodologies.Soft Skills Strong analytical| problem-solving| and communication skills| with great attention to detail.Experience Often requires 5 years in software testing.
