This BH Pharmacy position will collaborate across the system to perform a variety of operational, analytical and strategic projects that support the Pharmacy Enterprise. This leader will also perform regular analysis on operational, clinical and financial metrics that will inform long term strategy and short-term operational decisions. The manager will serve as the main liaison to overall hospital finance and collaborate as required. The Business Operations Manager will also lead the budget preparation process tying together operations and finance to ensure optimal value and performance.
The Pharmacy Business Operations Manager will also lead the Pharmacy Infusion Service Line focusing on overall optimization, collaboration, growth opportunities and creating a superior experience for patients.
The incumbent will have oversight of the revenue cycle processes that include charge capture, price mix optimization, and integration of the 340b program into operations. The manager will ensure supervisory level controls are in place for invoicing, charging, 340b crosswalk, billing and other foundational departmental operational and financial processes.
The Business Operations Manager will oversee the Business Analytics team who will have a focus on data management, dashboard creation, metrics and day to day financial performance activities. From proformas to cost savings analyses, to annual budgets, etc., the Business Analytics team will be the main hub for all pharmacy enterprise data and financial metrics.
1. Collaborate with Pharmacy Leadership to understand and establish key metrics. Collects data on key metrics and collaborates with team members across the Pharmacy Enterprise to make strategic decisions from the information. Leads improvement projects as appropriate that may emerge.
2. Collaborates to establish a strategic vision for outpatient infusion services across all sites at BH. Manages day to day activities and personnel in pharmacy related to this business.
3. Provides leadership and oversight for the pharmacy revenue cycle processes that includes pharmacy charging, invoicing, price mix optimization, and 340b integration with daily activities.
4. Coordinates BH Pharmacy budget preparation by providing relevant information to make projections and annual budgets. Reviews relevant accounting information to ensure accuracy and support budget preparations and operational efficiencies. Tracks overall financial progress and recommends adjustments as needed.
5. Oversees reporting, monitoring, and performance to operating metrics, leveraging data to understand and take actions needed to improve pharmacy enterprise financial goals.
6. Develops revenue and expense management strategies that are aligned with organizational objectives.
7. Explores new business opportunities, partnerships, and strategies to enhance revenue or control expenses.

Typically, a new hire can expect a starting salary somewhere in the lower part of the range. Actual salaries may vary by position and will be determined based on the candidate's relevant experience. No employee will be paid below the minimum of the range. Pay ranges are listed as hourly for non-exempt employees and based on assumed full time commitment for exempt employees.
