Alliance Animal Health (“AAH”) is one of the fastest-growing veterinary services organizations in the United States, with a network of 260+ partner hospitals across the country. We partner with veterinarians and practice owners to deliver world-class business, operational, marketing, recruiting, and real-estate support — while preserving each practice’s clinical autonomy and culture.Â
The Strategy team sits at the center of AAH’s growth — leading work across M&A, de novo expansion (including the PriorityPet Urgent Care platform), operational improvement, procurement, real estate, and special projects sponsored directly by the executive team.Â
Â
The Strategy Manager is a core member of the Strategy team, partnering closely with the SVP of Strategy and the Senior Director of Strategy on some of the company’s most critical business priorities. This is a high-exposure, high-impact role ideal for someone with a strong analytical foundation who is hungry to grow and influence decisions at a fast-moving, multi-site healthcare platform.Â
The person in this seat will own meaningful workstreams from problem definition through executive recommendation, and will get exposure to a broad cross-section of the business — operations, finance, real estate, marketing, recruiting, and the executive team.Â
Strategic Initiatives & Cross-Functional PartnershipÂ
- Partner with the Strategy team on initiatives, including De Novo Growth, Strategic Real Estate projects, and critical analytical projects. Â
- This is a cross-functional role, often working closely with Operations, Finance, Talent Acquisition, Marketing, and the Executive Leadership TeamÂ
- Own discrete workstreams end-to-end: problem framing, analysis, recommendation, and project support.Â
Financial Modeling & AnalyticsÂ
- Build financial models, strategic frameworks, and decision-support tools that guide business priorities and capital allocation.Â
- Pressure-test assumptions, sensitivities, and downside scenarios so leadership can make confident calls.Â
- Support pro forma development and post-investment performance tracking for PriorityPet de novo builds, real estate projects, and other growth initiatives.Â
Market & Competitive IntelligenceÂ
- Conduct market and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks that inform new business investments.Â
- Stay current on industry trends, competitive moves, and macro conditions across the veterinary services landscape and adjacent multi-site healthcare verticals.Â
Executive Communication & MaterialsÂ
- Assist in the development of high-quality materials and presentations for the Executive Leadership team, the Board, and other senior audiences.Â
- Translate complex analysis into clear, decision-ready recommendations.Â
- 2–4 years of experience in investment banking, management consulting, corporate strategy, private equity, or a similarly rigorous analytical role.Â
- Strong financial modeling skills with fluency in Excel and PowerPoint.Â
- Structured thinker who can synthesize complex data into clear, actionable recommendations and present ideas effectively.Â
- Highly organized self-starter who manages multiple priorities simultaneously, meets deadlines, and thrives both independently and in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.Â
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.Â
- A genuine passion for animals and/or the veterinary services industry.Â
Preferred QualificationsÂ
- Experience in vendor negotiation, procurement, or cost-out work.Â
- Prior exposure to a PE-backed, multi-site healthcare, retail, or services platform.Â
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, engineering, or a related analytical field.Â
- Familiarity with M&A diligence, integration, or de novo new-unit economics.Â
Alliance Animal Health offers a competitive compensation package designed to attract analytically rigorous talent who want to grow inside a fast-scaling platform. Final compensation is determined by experience, skills, qualifications, and whether the role is filled at the Senior Analyst or Manager level.Â
Working Conditions & Physical RequirementsÂ
- Fully remote home office; East Coast working hours required.Â
- Approximately 5% domestic travel for team offsites, executive meetings, and select site visits.Â
- Valid U.S. driver’s license; ability to fly domestically as needed.Â
