Job Summary:

Coordination and supervision of human resources, finances, patient issues, billing, collection, physician scheduling, computer and physical plant issues for the practice.

Duties/Responsibilities:

           Human Resources

• Coordinate and address human resource matters
• Recruitment, disciplinary action, termination, payroll, schedules, employee problem resolution, evaluations, and training.
• Coordinate all annual evaluations of hourly employees and PA’s

           Scheduling

• Coordinate and oversee all provider schedules in addition to Call schedules.
• Inform physicians and midlevel providers of scheduling issues and changes
• Coordinate and produce Front Office and Back Office schedules on a monthly basis, including any changes that may occur on a daily basis.

           Patient Issues

• Handle patient and family questions on billing, collections, office operation and new patient application approvals; convey any clinical questions to the back office employees or physicians.
• When necessary address upset patient issues in a calm and effective manner to prevent escalation.

           Miscellaneous

• Coordinate with the PCP Internal Accountant and Accounts Payable Manager on the practice's financial reports, budget and accounts payable; consult with and report to the physicians.
• Coordinate resolution of computer problems with the appropriate personnel
• Coordinate resolution of all physical plant problems
• Sagebrush: Complete Sagebrush business activities, banking reconciliation on a monthly basis including end of year report of transactions with Accountant.  Submit State of Colorado filings annually.  Process quarterly draws to partners.
• Attend and participate in WCPG Physician Business meetings and bi-annual retreats including agendas and minutes, front and back office, PCP management, staff, billing and collection meetings
• Work with staff on metrics, coordinate metric campaigns phone calls/letter
• Day to day management of staffing, work flows and conflicts.
• Development/Implementation of PCP and internal policies, procedures and training manuals.
• Available for Security calls 24/7.
• Working knowledge of all Microsoft applications and database related software

Experience:

Must be friendly and have positive interpersonal skills, manual dexterity, have computer knowledge, able to multi-task, able to communicate effectively and demonstrate courtesy and cooperative behavior with staff, peers, patients and the public. Must be willing to obtain supervisory intervention to assist in problem solving or to maintain work relationships.  Three or more years in medical office management preferred, one year required

Education Requirements:

College with emphasis on business preferred, high school diploma and some college or management education required

Working Conditions:

Work is primarily completed while sitting at a desk in a well-lighted, ventilated area.  There is some walking around the office and the work is frequently interrupted throughout the working hours
