Manager I - Consulting (Process Lead)

Role Overview

The Software Product Process Consultant will partner with product and engineering teams tooptimize product development processes, embedQuality Engineering practices, and ensure alignment with business objectives. This role demands expertise inSDLC methodologies,Agile/SAFe frameworks, andQE-driven process improvement to deliver high-quality, scalable software products.

Key Responsibilities

Process Consulting & Optimization

• Assess current product development and QE processes; identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
• Define and implement best practices for SDLC, Agile, DevOps, and QE frameworks.
• EstablishShift-Left Testing strategies to integrate quality early in the lifecycle.
• DriveRisk-Based Testing andPerformance Testing as a Service models for efficiency.

Quality Engineering Enablement

• Develop and enforce QE standards across product lifecycle.
• Introduceautomation-first approaches leveraging tools for functional, API, and performance testing.
• Promotehyperautomation andAI-driven testing for faster release cycles.
• Definemetrics and dashboards for quality governance and continuous improvement.

Product Lifecycle Governance

• Implement governance models for product planning, development, and release with QE checkpoints.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and security standards through robust quality processes.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Collaborate with product managers, QE leads, and engineering teams to align processes with strategic goals.
• Conduct workshops and training sessions on QE frameworks, tools, and best practices.

Implementation Support

• Guide teams through transitions (e.g., Waterfall to Agile, manual to automated QE).
• Provide consulting ontooling ecosystems (CI/CD, test automation, performance monitoring).

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong knowledge ofAgile, SAFe, SDLC, and QE methodologies.
• Hands-on experience intest automation frameworks,performance engineering, andcontinuous testing.
• Familiarity withDevOps pipelines,cloud-based environments, andAI/ML in testing.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Certifications likeCSM, SAFe Consultant, ISTQB Advanced, or QE-focused credentials are a plus.

Preferred Background

• Prior experience inproduct implementation consulting andquality engineering transformation.
• Exposure toproduct-centric QE models andfederated quality frameworks.
