Pay Range: $100000 - $148000/annum. based on years of experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily clinical and operational activities of the Family Care Services Unit.
- Maintain current clinical knowledge and expertise relevant to the department.
- Manage daily operations, including staffing and scheduling, employee rounding, patient rounding, and patient satisfaction initiatives.
- Collaborate with the Perinatal Safety Nurse to support competency development and staff education.
- Support Charge Nurses with admission and discharge coordination.
- Interview, select, onboard, and hire qualified clinical personnel.
- Assess and evaluate employee performance, develop learning plans, and complete annual staff evaluations.
- Provide coaching and counseling to staff and implement appropriate disciplinary processes, including termination when necessary, in collaboration with senior leadership and Human Resources.
- Provide leadership in compliance with regulatory requirements, national nursing standards, and specialty-specific nursing standards.
- Monitor and evaluate patient outcomes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Assist with departmental budget management and fiscal responsibilities.
- Maintain quality audits and monitor daily core measures.
- Oversee supply management to support efficient and cost-effective operations.
- Foster strong working relationships among nursing staff, physicians, patients, families, and interdisciplinary departments.
- Promote a culture focused on patient safety, clinical excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- 3–7 years of Labor & Delivery experience in an acute care setting.
- 3–7 years of Labor & Delivery leadership experience in an acute care setting.
- CurrentNew Hampshire RN license or valid compact-state RN license.
- Demonstrated ability to lead clinical teams and manage day-to-day hospital operations.
- Strong knowledge of nursing standards, regulatory requirements, quality improvement, and patient safety practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field.
- Experience with staff development, performance management, quality initiatives, and budget oversight.
- Experience working collaboratively with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
