Responsibilities

  • Supervise all service and quality standards in all restaurants and F&B operations in order to achieve the highest level of Guest happiness
  • Ensure all service related working procedures are in compliance with USPH standards; lead inspection team with Manager, F&B Services
  • Responsible to ensure all F&B Operation Guidelines (LOGs) are followed. Maintain and update LOGs as required, partnering with shore side support.
  • Equalize the strength of the restaurant teams keeping diversity in mind
  • Display mature leadership skills in every day decisions and actions- Build an open, inclusive, diverse and trusting environment with team involvement
  • Responsible for upholding all USPH standards in the F&B operation. Ensure all F&B Crew are trained and procedures are followed on a daily basis.
  • Monitor F&B budgets and maintain inventories and par levels- order equipment as to provide Crew the tools needed to perform their roles.
  • Adjust facilities opening hours in coordination with the Manager, F&B Services according to unexpected situations
  • Coordinate and partake in training programs in the Dining department
  • Be personally involved in the recovery of unsatisfied Guests
  • Monitor the maintenance of all furniture and equipment in all food service outlets
  • Coordinate activities and cross utilization of the staff within all teams
  • Ensure Dining team follow SMS procedures in all areas of the operation i.e. safety related and allergy procedures

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum three years experience at department head level in multiple outlet Food and Beverage operation
  • Management experience in large (150 + covers per meal period) dining, a la carte and fast casual restaurants
  • Previous budgetary and profit & loss responsibilities
  • Previous experience in supervising a multinational team including Assistant Managers and/or Supervisors

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in hospitality industry or equivalent preferred
  • Ship experience preferred

  • Be committed to the position you are applying for at least 2-3 contracts before a transfer or promotion
  • Be willing to follow and perform safety role, emergency duties and/or associated responsibilities as specified in the ship Assembly Plan
  • Be willing and able to uphold the general safety management responsibilities specified in the Safety Management System in areas and operations under their control
  • Be willing to follow and embrace United States Public Health requirements and guidelines as well as Environmentality requirements and Company practices
  • Be willing to be appreciative of working and living in a multi-cultural environment
  • Be comfortable living in a confined space with strict rules and regulations
  • Adhere to a structured lifestyle, personally and professionally

Your Responsibilities:

  • Have a valid passport and C1/D Seaman's visa (DCL will provide you with documents to obtain this)
  • Complete a pre-employment medical
  • Obtain a criminal background check
  • Bring approved work shoes
