As Manager, Beverage Services, you will oversee the ship and island Beverage operations. You will coordinate the bar production levels to provide an organized operation while meeting budgeted goals for bar costs, manage liquor costs within the budget/forecast.
You will report to Manager of Food and Beverage Services
Responsibilities
- Oversee ship and Island Beverage operations
- Coordinate the bar production levels to ensure an efficient operation while meeting budgeted goals for bar costs; Manage cost within budgets/forecast
- Responsible for promoting salesmanship and revenues generated
- Ensure sanitation levels are upheld in accordance with all USPH and other sanitation laws or guidelines
- Ensure the execution of all special occasions, group parties, cocktail parties and celebrations in bars, lounges or wherever specified
- Responsible for all aspects of the guest experience
- Audit liquor inventory and ordering procedures
- Work closely with Hotel Stores Manager, ship and shore side teams to ensure accurate stock levels, deliveries, new product items, product merchandising and displays are maintained
- Facilitate department meetings
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum four years experience in a leadership role in Beverage management in a multiple outlet operation
- Experienced in cost control and revenue management
- Experience and understanding of running a wine program; including familiarity with stock rotation, wine inventory control and training of staff
- Strong knowledge of bar operations, recipes and procedures with an emphasis on international cocktails
- Proficiency in various computer and POS systems and programs (Micros, MS Office, MS Outlook)
Preferred Qualifications
- Detailed knowledge of HACCP and sanitation rules, USPH Vessel Sanitation Certificate preferred
- Ship experience preferred

You must:
- Be genuinely interested in a career at sea and willing to live and work onboard a Disney Cruise Line vessel
- Be willing to follow and perform safety role, emergency responsibilities and associated responsibilities as specified in the ship Assembly Plan
- Be willing to uphold the general safety management responsibilities as specified in the Safety Management System in areas and operations under their control
- If applicable, be willing to share a confined cabin with other crew members and appreciative of working and living in a multicultural environment that has strict rules and regulations
Your Responsibilities:
- Have a valid passport and C1/D Seaman's visa (DCL will provide you with documents to obtain this)
- Complete a pre-employment medical
- Obtain a criminal background check
- Bring approved work shoes
