Trade Finance, together with Cash Management, is the mainstay of GTS, and is extended to SME and corporate clients for their local and cross-border financial transaction needs.

Job Description

The Senior Trade Product Manager in Global Transaction Services will be responsible for leading and managing the trade finance product suite and facilitating complex trade deals and transactions, with a focus on documentary trade. This role focuses on aligning products with client needs, managing risk, and ensuring regulatory compliance, while fostering product innovation, digitalization and revenue growth.

Responsibilities

• Product Strategy & Development: Develop and execute strategies for documentary trade product solutions (e.g. Letter of Credit, Bank Guarantee, Documentary Collection etc)
• Product Management: Manage the end-to-end product lifecycle, monitor performance (profitability, utilization, risk), and optimize pricing strategies
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with internal teams (Sales, Relationship Managers, Risk, Credit, Legal, Operations, Sales, Technology) and external partners to support product delivery and client engagement
• Risk & Compliance: Ensure product compliance with regulations and internal risk policies, working with credit and risk teams on transaction structuring and portfolio monitoring
• Commercialization: Drive product adoption and revenue growth across target client segments, supporting sales teams, gathering client feedback and work towards optimizing product features and client end to end experience
• Digital Innovation: Improve efficiency through process optimization and digital solutions, collaborating with technology teams to drive platform enhancements and automation requirements
• New Product Initiatives: Identify innovative new product/solution opportunities in documentary trade space and drive rollout of such new products and initiatives. Support cross sell with Cash and FX

Qualification

• 10+ years work experience in banking industry on trade finance product management or related areas
• Familiar with HK local market requirements from regulatory and compliance perspective
• Proficient in English, Mandarin and/or Cantonese
• Qualification on CDCS and/or CSDG is plus
