The program runs for eight years (2025–2033), with total funding of up to AUD 100 million. Phase 1 runs from August 2025 to June 2029, investing about AUD 50 million. Phase 2 will extend the program out to 2033, pending agreement between the Governments of Australia and Indonesia.

KITA SEHAT is funded and managed by Australia’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) and implemented by DT Global. Indonesia's Ministry of National Development Planning/National Development Planning Agency (Kementerian PPN/Bappenas) is the primary coordinating ministry for the program, in partnership with the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Agriculture and subnational governments in Jawa Barat, Nusa Tenggara Timur and Papua Barat Daya.

The program works towards four end-of-program outcomes (EOPOs):

  • Primary health care policy and governance – by 2033, national and selected subnational authorities have adopted improved primary health policies, service delivery approaches and governance arrangements.

  • Primary health services – by 2033, selected subnational authorities have improved the quality of and access to primary health services with a focus on stunting prevention and the inclusion of women, people with disability and other marginalised groups.

  • Health system enablers – by 2033, national and selected subnational authorities have enhanced core workforce capabilities in critical human and animal health system enabling functions.

  • Health security – by 2033, national and selected subnational authorities have increased capacity for health security and animal health policy development, strategic planning and the assessment, mitigation and management of acute and emerging health threats.

KITA SEHAT is designed to address local priorities, ensure women and people with disabilities are central to health system change, and to build climate resilience into how that change is delivered. The program is aligned to Indonesia’s National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN) 2025-2029, specifically National Priority 4: Strengthening Human Resources Development, Science, Technology, Education, Health Sport, Gender Equality, and Strengthening the Role of Women, Youth and People with Disabilities

The coordinator will act as the bridge between the program and the provider, translating business and reporting needs into clear system requirements and ensuring the delivered system meets them. The system will generate quality data for inclusion in progress reports to DFAT and the Government of Indonesia. Information generated from the system will also form the basis of briefs, infographics, dashboards and other knowledge products that will serve to support the MEL function.

Dashboards should be able to illustrate progress, for inclusion on the KITA SEHAT website and in reports.

  • Act as the primary liaison between the program and the selected MIS provider: gather and document business and reporting requirements from the MEL unit and Program Leads, translate them into functional specifications for the provider, and review and test deliverables against those requirements.

  • Design and deliver MIS training to program staff.

  • Support program staff to enter data into the MIS.

  • Review data that has been entered into the MIS and liaise with the program team to resolve data that is unclear, incorrect, entered in the wrong location, etc.

  • Collaborate with the MEL team to integrate programmatic data into the MIS.

  • Develop annexes for progress reports that clearly demonstrate progress towards the achievement of EOPO and thematic outcomes, based on the KPIs and QIs.

  • Develop and update dashboards e.g. within the MIS itself, and the KITA SEHAT website.

  • Maintain safeguard related MIS modules and reporting.

  • Maintain and administer the MIS once operational, including user access, system configuration, issue resolution and coordination of enhancements with the provider.

  • Lead program knowledge management, ensuring outputs are archived and accessible.

Other duties

  • Contribute to the effective operation of the organisation by undertaking additional responsibilities that are reasonably within the scope, classification, and capability of the position.

  • Demonstrate professional behaviour at all times, including maintaining appropriate workplace attire, communicating respectfully, and working collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders to support the achievement of program objectives.

  • Support risk management, safeguarding, workplace health and safety, and fraud control measures. This includes promoting gender equality, disability inclusion, and safeguarding principles in all aspects of work.
