Position Summary:

The Major Gift and Campaign Strategist is a part-time position designed to support the launch and implementation of Ivy Tech Foundation’s next comprehensive campaign. Working approximately 8–10 hours per week, this role will provide specialized major gift and campaign counsel along with strategic support to campus development teams as they prepare for and implement campaign activity.

Working in close partnership with campus development leads and Foundation leadership, the Strategist will help strengthen campaign structure, advance major-gift strategy, and maintain alignment between campus priorities and the broader statewide campaign. The position will serve as a trusted resource to campus teams, helping translate campaign strategy into actionable fundraising plans while supporting a collaborative, One Ivy Tech approach to philanthropy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


Campus Campaign Strategy and Implementation

  • Meet regularly with campus development leads to provide strategic guidance related to campaign planning, structure, readiness, and implementation.
  • Support campuses in translating the broader campaign framework into effective campus-level fundraising strategies and activity.
  • Help identify opportunities, challenges, and resource needs that could affect successful campaign implementation.
  • Provide individualized strategic support based on each campus’s campaign priorities, donor pipeline, and fundraising opportunities.

Pipeline and Major-Gift Strategy

  • Partner with campus development leads on campaign-focused pipeline reviews.
  • Support the development of cultivation, solicitation, and engagement strategies for lead and major-gift prospects connected to the campaign.
  • Help campuses identify opportunities to strengthen prospect movement and build momentum toward campaign priorities.
  • Serve as a strategic thought partner on complex or significant campaign opportunities.

Campaign Priority Alignment

  • Provide guidance as campuses refine and advance campaign priorities.
  • Help ensure campus fundraising strategies and priorities remain aligned with the overall campaign framework and institutional direction.
  • Identify opportunities for collaboration across campuses and the Foundation when donor relationships, funding priorities, or campaign strategies intersect.
  • Reinforce a coordinated, institution-wide approach to campaign activity and donor engagement.

Foundation Leadership and Liaison

  • Bringing forward campus perspectives, opportunities, and emerging campaign needs.
  • Function as a liaison between campus-based campaign work and Foundation leadership.
  • Help maintain clear communication and alignment across campus and statewide campaign activity.
  • Share observations and recommendations with the Vice President for Philanthropy to inform broader campaign strategy and implementation.

Hourly Rate:$60 per hour
