Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Test Analyst with strong Mainframe Testing experience to support critical payment processing and banking applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with COBOL/Mainframe systems, functional and integration testing, and a solid understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Perform functional and integration testing of Mainframe applications.
• Work with COBOL/Mainframe applications supporting payment processing and banking systems.
• Develop and execute test cases, scenarios, and test plans.
• Analyze requirements and translate them into effective testing strategies.
• Support end-to-end Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) activities.
• Identify, document, track, and troubleshoot defects.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other QA teams.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and follow Agile testing practices.
• Validate data and system integrations across Mainframe applications.
• Support regression, system, functional, and integration testing.
• Contribute to test automation initiatives where applicable.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in software testing/quality assurance.
• Strong Mainframe Testing experience.
• Hands-on knowledge of COBOL/Mainframe applications.
• Experience with functional and integration testing.
• Strong understanding of STLC.
• Experience working in Agile methodologies.
• Knowledge of BDD and related testing practices.
• Experience with banking and financial services applications.
• Payments/Card Processing experience preferred.
• Strong defect tracking, test documentation, and analytical skills.
