We're hiring aMainframe Systems Programmer to join our team inColumbia, SC. This role offers a hybrid schedule, with onsite work required Tuesday through Thursday.
Work Authorization:Sponsorship is not available for this role; no C2C or third-party candidates. Candidates must be able to work on our W2.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Ability to obtain a low-level U.S. security clearance, which requires a thorough background screening and U.S. citizenship
- 4 years of IT experience, including varied programming experience
- Experience with Mainframe System technologies including Db2, z/OS, SYSVIEW, Broadcom products or other IBM mainframe related products
- Strong analytical and logical thinking skills
- Comprehension of advanced data storage techniques, basic database philosophy, database management, and advanced programming techniques
- Understand the requirements for maintaining production systems and the effect of systems changes
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation, maintenance, and optimization of IBM Db2 for z/OS on the mainframe platform
- Support critical business applications and enterprise database environments
- Db2 subsystem administration, performance tuning, upgrades and migrations
- Disaster recovery support, incident resolution, and data movement across environments
- Ensure the stability, availability, and efficiency of mission-critical systems
- Provide 24x7 production support through an on-call rotation
Education/Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other job-related field or 4 years of job-related work experience;OR
- 2 years of job-related experience plus an Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other job-related degree
Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Mainframe System technologies, including experience with Db2, z/OS, and related IBM products. They should possess excellent analytical and logical thinking skills, with a solid understanding of database management, programming techniques, and quality assurance strategies. The candidate must be able to work onsite and be eligible to work on a W-2 basis.
The hourly rate for this position is $43.37.
