Location: Plano, TX 75024 (Hybrid for now but may be changed to Full onsite in the near future)
Duration: 6 months
Must Have Skills:
- Strong knowledge of IBM z/OS Storage Management.
- Hands-on experience with Hitachi Disk Storage (HDS/VSP, USP, VSP G Series).
- Experience administering IBM Virtual Tape System (VTS) or Virtual Tape Library (VTL).
- Strong understanding of DFSMS, SMS, ACS routines, and Storage Groups.
- Experience with DASD management, allocation, migration, and performance tuning.
- Knowledge of backup and recovery processes for mainframe storage environments.
- Experience with storage monitoring and capacity planning.
- Coordinate storage-related software and hardware upgrades.
- Troubleshoot storage incidents and resolve complex production issues.
- Work closely with system programmers, application teams, and infrastructure teams during project implementations.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and storage standards.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise security, audit, and operational policies.
- Participate in on-call production support and maintenance activities as required.
