Mainframe Programmer

Provide a short description of the Position: NYS DOL support in a multi-vendor, multi-protocol complex network/systems environments. Primary point of contact for zOS Operating Systems

Provide a list of the day-to-day tasks to be performed by the Selected Candidate: • Perform problem determination and resolution • Participate in Disaster Recovery tests • Participate in On-call rotation • Perform Security Healthchecking • Participate in Audits. • Participate and as required manage activities related to the installation, customization and management of the zOS operating system. • Coordinate activities with support staff to ensure appropriate support is provided. • Proactively monitor networks working with the Enterprise Network teams and developers to identify, manage and correct issues. • Work independently to diagnose and correct problems as they arise within the system. • Mentor state staff. • Monitor CICS regions.
