Detailed Job Description
- We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Lead Developer to lead the design, development, modernization, and support of critical mainframe applications.
- The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in IBM mainframe technologies, leadership capabilities, and experience managing development teams while delivering high quality solutions aligned with business requirements.Design, develop, and maintain applications using COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, MQ Series.
- Participate in architecture discussions and modernization initiatives.Drive application design, development, testing, deployment, and support activities.
- Review technical solutions and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- Estimate effort, create development plans, and track project deliverables.
- Coordinate with business analysts, architects, QA teams, and stakeholders.Manage project risks, dependencies, and resource allocation.
- Ensure timely delivery of project milestones.Support API enablement and integration of mainframe applications with distributed systems.
- Participate in cloud, DevOps, and digital transformation initiatives.Contribute to mainframe modernization strategies and automation efforts.
- Lead a team of mainframe developers and provide technical guidance and mentorship.
- Minimum years of experience 8-10 years
