Position:Mainframe COBOL Developer / Lead
Experience: 10+ Years(Mandate)
Location: Hybrid(Toronto downtown) open to onsite work when required)
Core Technical Requirements:

Strong hands-on experience inCOBOL, JCL, DB2, and FOCUS
Experience working inbatch processing environments
Hands-on knowledge ofCA-7 scheduling
Strong understanding offlat files and dataset-based processing environments
Capability toanalyze and interpret legacy/custom-developed programs, including:
- Understanding program logic and workflows
- Identifying data flows and dependencies
- Supporting maintainability and system documentation

Key Expectations:

Ability to independentlyreview and assess existing mainframe codebase
Strong analytical skills todecode and document legacy systems
Prior experience inonsite lead roles, managing and guiding offshore teams

Nice to Have:

Exposure toGIT / GitLab
Experience withIDz (IBM Developer for z/OS)

We are looking for candidates who havedeep technical expertise in mainframe environments, not just support-level experience.
