Our company is growing! We are looking for someone to join our2nd shift who has the drive and flexibility to support our machine shop. Experience is not required as Welker will pay you to learn how to be a machinist!In this role, attention to detail andprecision will be crucial. If youhave a keen eyefor accuracyandare interested in learning new skills, this is the position for you!

Responsibilities 

• Set up and operate machinesbased on workloaddemand; make necessary measurements to confirm parts conform to requirements 
• Document and report all deviationsand malfunctions; document and save all program changes and notations 
• Continuously strive to learn new techniques and operate new machines 
• Keepwork area andmachines clean and perform daily maintenance duties 

These are some of the more frequent tasks you couldexpect to perform during your workday, but you may be called upon tofulfill other duties as needed. 

Key Skills 

• Aptness for reading routers and drawings and following work instructions 

• Capability for cross training and multitasking whiledelivering results within designated time parameters 
• Self-motivated to learn and acquirethe skills necessary to master the trade 
• Able tobalance workload andperform duties as needed 

The Welker team is a diverse and motivated group. These key skills keep our Machine Shop running smoothly. 

Qualifications 

• Completedcourseworkand/or experience with machining is a plus; particularly a Hone machine
  

• Comfortable being on your feet for up to 95% of your day; safely lift and carry up to 50lbs 
• GED,high school diploma, or equivalent

This is a full-time, 2nd shift position with the occasional opportunity for overtime. Starting salary is within the posted range and is determined by experience, education, and potential.
