HR Coordinator

The Role

We're looking for an HR Coordinator to partner with our HR Director and take independent ownership of core HR functions across the employee lifecycle. This is a hands-on role in a lean, high-trust HR function. You'll handle day-to-day HR operations with real autonomy, not just administrative support, freeing the HR Director to focus on strategic priorities like multi-state compliance, workplace investigations, and expansion work.

What You'll Own

• Recruiting:Manage full-cycle hiring for assigned roles, from posting through offer, including candidate screening and interview coordination
• Onboarding:Run new hire onboarding end-to-end (paperwork, I-9s, systems, first-week experience) with minimal oversight
• Benefits administration:Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefits questions, enrollment, and life events; support open enrollment logistics
• Leave administration:Independently manage FMLA, Colorado FAMLI, and other leave requests, including tracking and employee communication
• HRIS and records:Own data integrity in the HRIS, generate reports, and maintain compliant employee files
• Employee relations support:Assist with documentation, note-taking, and follow-through on employee relations matters and investigations
• Compliance tracking:Monitor deadlines for required trainings, postings, and filings across jurisdictions
• Point of contact:Be a trusted, approachable resource for warehouse and office staff on HR questions

What You Bring

• 2-4 years of HR experience with demonstrated ownership of at least one core function (recruiting, benefits, or leave admin)
• Working knowledge of employment law fundamentals (FMLA, state leave laws); Colorado experience a plus
• Comfort operating independently and making judgment calls without heavy oversight
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing deadlines
• Discretion with confidential and sensitive information
• Clear, professional communication with employees at all levels
• Comfort working in or around a warehouse/operations environment
• Proficiency with HRIS platforms and Google Workspace

Nice to Have

• Bilingual in English and Spanish, written and verbal
• Experience in a PE-backed or high-growth startup environment
• Exposure to multi-state or cross-border HR (Canada a plus, given upcoming expansion)

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary: $65,000–$75,000, commensurate with experience
