Maintenance Technician IV is a role for experienced professionals, responsible for leading maintenance tasks and providing advanced HVAC solutions‎
Key Responsibilities:Â
- Leads complex maintenance and tune-up projects on HVAC equipmentÂ
- Diagnoses and provides solutions for advanced HVAC issuesÂ
- Mentors junior technicians and assists in their trainingÂ
- Manages customer relations and provides expert HVAC adviceÂ
- Works under general supervision to perform maintenance callsÂ
- Independently performs routine precision tune-ups and maintenance on heating, air conditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment as well as accessories in an accurate and timely mannerÂ
- Conducts diagnostics to identify potential problems to prevent premature and unexpected breakdowns or callbacksÂ
- Completes routine maintenance and equipment cleaning as needed or requiredÂ
- Responsible for delivery and removal of parts and equipment needed to complete service workÂ
- Assists the Service Technician in servicing heating, air conditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment as well as accessoriesÂ
- Using hand-held device records all required information on customer call. Completes all forms and paperwork in a neat, timely, complete, and accurate manner. If necessary, collects payment from customers.Â
- Communicates with dispatch, while on duty, to ensure dispatcher has an accurate status report of activities and availabilityÂ
- Promotes products and services to the customer. Calls Sales and Service Coordinator with specifics on replacement product sales leads generated from customer service visit.Â
- Ensures company property, vehicles, and tools are being used, maintained, and properly accounted forÂ
- Represents the company professionally, honestly, and ethically in all business matters and activitiesÂ
- Follows standard procedures and process, ensures that the company vehicle is properly stockedÂ
- Performs similar/other duties as needed or assignedÂ

Qualifications/Skills:Â
High school diploma or GED; advanced technical trainingÂ
5-10 years of HVAC maintenance experienceÂ
Required licensing and certifications, including EPA and safety certificationsÂ
Advanced knowledge and skills in HVAC systemsÂ
Strong leadership and communication abilitiesÂ
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving recordÂ
High school diploma or GED.Â
Must possess all valid licensing or certification as required by federal, state, provincial, or local governmental laws or regulations for the geographical work areaÂ
Proficient mechanical aptitude and the ability to operate all necessary tools and equipmentÂ
Proficient and able to operate all necessary tools and equipment to perform various service projectsÂ
Basic skills in reading wiring diagrams and troubleshooting problems with electrical, refrigerant and duct systems on air conditioning equipmentÂ
Effective communication skills to communicate with customer and resolve customer issues, complaints, or concernsÂ
Effective and efficient time-management and organizational skillsÂ
Available to work flexible hours and on-call shifts as neededÂ
Experience performing basic maintenance work on HVAC equipment and related accessories is desirableÂ
Ability to stand and walk and to climb ladders and attic stairs and to maneuver in attics, basements, and crawl spaces to access HVAC units. Ability to continually climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl.Â
Ability to work in a variety of environmental conditions, including but not limited to the following: hot, cold, outdoor, indoor, dry, humid, slippery surfaces, heights, and congested areasÂ
Ability to safely climb 300lb load capacity rated ladders with a 30lb tool beltÂ
Natural or corrected vision to see and focus for close, distance, peripheral vision with normal depth perceptionÂ
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 30 poundsÂ
