Key Responsibilities

• Relying on limited experience and knowledge, the Aviation Claims Examiner is responsible for accomplishing the following assignments. These assignments are varied in nature.
  • Monitor claims that are high-exposure.
  • Review all claims that are in litigation within reservelimits.
  • Authorize all requests for settlement on claims within assigned level ofauthority.
  • Prepare all reservation of rights and denial of coverage letters within assigned level ofauthority.
  • Report to the claim executive on the status of theclaims.

  • Follow work plans, established timelines, and pre-defined goals for assignedwork.

  • Communicate activities, results, and observations with employees and management asappropriate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Insurance, Aviation, a related field, or the equivalent education and/or experience
• 2+ years of relevant and progressive professional experience in claims handling

• Solid written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on confidentiality, tact, anddiplomacy
• Advanced organizational and analytical skills; demonstrated ability to manage multiple taskssimultaneously
• Knowledgeable of industry changes, legal updates, and technical developments related to applicable area of the Company’s business to proactively respond to changing businessenvironment
• Intermediate proficiency and experience using Microsoft Office package (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word)
