Product Validation Engineer II

Role Overview

We are looking for aSenior Validation Engineer to join our team and drive validation of advancedaudio codecs, DSP algorithms, and software libraries. This role involves building robust validation strategies, developing automated test frameworks, and ensuring high-quality deliverables across embedded and Linux-based environments.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and passionate aboutaudio signal processing and automation, with strong programming and debugging skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and executevalidation plans for audio codecs, DSP algorithms, and associated libraries
• Developautomated test frameworks for large-scale validation across multiple configurations
• Performfunctional, performance, and regression testing of audio processing pipelines
• Analyze audio outputs using objective and perceptual metrics to ensure quality compliance
• Create and maintaintest infrastructure on Linux systems, including integration with CI pipelines
• Develop tools and scripts fortest generation, execution, result analysis, and reporting
• Collaborate withdesign, development, and system teams to debug and resolve issues
• Build reusable validation assets and improvetest coverage and efficiency
• Drivecontinuous improvement in validation methodologies and automation workflows

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong programming expertise inC
• Proficiency inPython for automation and data analysis
• Good understanding ofDigital Signal Processing (DSP) concepts
• Hands-on experience withaudio codecs (e.g., AAC, MP3, Opus, or similar)
• Strong working knowledge ofLinux environments
• Expertise inshell scripting (Bash)
• Experience withtest automation frameworks and validation methodologies
• Hands-on experience withJira for defect tracking and workflow management
• Familiarity withJenkins for CI/CD and automated test execution
• Experience withPerforce (p4) or similar version control systems
• Strong debugging skills in embedded or system-level software

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience withaudio quality validation tools and perceptual evaluation
• Familiarity withCI/CD systems and scalable test infrastructure
• Exposure toembedded systems or firmware validation
• Knowledge ofperformance benchmarking and optimization techniques
• Experience withversion control systems (Git/Perforce)
