Auxiliary Operators atThomas Hill play a crucial role insupporting safe and efficient plant operations by operating turbine and boiler auxiliaryequipment.Key responsibilities include monitoring, inspecting, and adjusting equipment, performing housekeeping, and recording equipment readingsto ensure reliableenergy production.
Whatyou'll do:
Safely and efficientlyoperate the turbine and boiler auxiliary equipment within the power plant, includingsystems such ascirculating water, hydrogen cooling, equipment lubricating, water treatment, building heating and cooling, pumps,fans and compressors. Operate anhydrous ammonia systems to include unloading trucksin accordance with procedures.
Start, stop, inspect, adjust, and lubricate equipment,keeping a close eye on equipment health, andescalating issues when equipmentmaintenanceis required;perform preventive maintenance on equipment;analyzegauge readings, perform necessary equipmenttesting,and write work requests for equipment repair.
Whatyou’ll need:
High school diploma or GEDrequiredwith a minimum of one-year industrial mechanical or electrical background.
Obtain passingresults from the applicable pre-employment test(s).
Basic computer skillsarerequired.
Required to work from heights.
Demonstrate willingness to learn all components of the power plant.
Ability to work weekends, holidays, overtime, and varying shifts as needed.
