Wellness Ambassador

As a Wellness Ambassador onboard the Eastern & Oriental Express, you will be responsible for curating and delivering exceptional wellness experiences that enhance the journey for our guests. You will lead wellness initiatives, set service goals, and ensure adherence to luxury hospitality standards, safety regulations, and sustainability practices. Additionally, you will oversee program development, resource allocation, and guest engagement. Maintain a high level of expertise in wellness trends, monitor industry developments, and ensure that wellness strategies align with Belmond’s overall vision of luxury travel. Your responsibilities include:

• • Designing and delivering wellness programs, including fitness, relaxation, and mindfulness activities tailored to guest needs.
  • Ensuring all wellness services are conducted in line with international hospitality and safety standards.
  • Managing wellness equipment, supplies, and consumables: ordering, receiving, storing, and maintaining minimum stock levels.
  • Forecasting and scheduling wellness activities to align with train itineraries and guest expectations.
  • Compiling guest feedback, participation metrics, and program histories, and recommending improvements based on findings.
  • Coordinating with internal staff, culinary teams, and external partners to integrate wellness offerings seamlessly into the guest experience.
  • Supporting strategies that maintain the train’s wellness facilities in optimal condition while aligning with planned operating schedules.
  • Ensuring clear communication and workflow between wellness services, onboard operations, and management.
  • Participating in improvement programs and projects to introduce new functionality, procedures, or enhancements to wellness offerings.
  • Drawing on prior luxury spa experience, including Dior Spa, to elevate the quality and exclusivity of onboard wellness services.

• Completion of professional courses or certifications in Wellness, Spa Management, Fitness, Yoga, Nutrition, or a related field is required. Advanced certifications are an advantage.
• At least 8–10 years of experience in luxury hospitality, wellness, or spa management, with a significant portion spent in leadership roles.
• Hands‑on expertise in designing and delivering wellness programs, including fitness, mindfulness, relaxation, and holistic therapies.
• Proven knowledge of international wellness standards, guest service protocols, and luxury hospitality practices.
• Deep understanding of health, safety, and hygiene regulations, with certifications in wellness, spa, or fitness instruction considered an advantage.
• Proficiency in wellness program planning tools, guest engagement platforms, or hospitality management systems.
• Professional certifications in wellness, spa therapy, yoga, or fitness instruction are highly desirable.
• Certifications in hospitality management or project management (e.g., PMP) can be a plus.
• A strong commitment to guest well‑being, environmental sustainability, and delivering luxury experiences.
• Ability to lead complex wellness initiatives, balancing operational excellence with strategic guest engagement goals.

Interest in staying current with industry trends, such as advancements in rail technology and sustainability initiatives.

International exposure will be considered a plus. You must speak English. Additional languages, such as Japanese, Korean, Cantonese, French and German, are a benefit. We welcome a diversity of backgrounds, ethnicities and religions.

Experience in the hospitality industry is a bonus, but not a necessity.
