Position Overview 

We are currently seeking a Vehicle Integration Engineer II, HV System, as part ofproduct engineering organization in the plant. The candidate will work with multi-disciplinary teams to drive product/specification related investigations to resolution for the products in production. Our ideal candidateexhibits a can-do attitude and approaches their work with vigor and determination. Candidate will be expected todemonstrate excellence in their respective fields, topossess the ability to learn quickly and to strive for impactful results in a fast-paced environment. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Responsible for vehicle/system level troubleshooting using standard communication/diagnostic tools (Canalyzer/Canape, etc.) 
  • Solve complex component/system level problems using standard problem-solving techniques 
  • Data driven proactive problem solving & issue avoidance due to process deviations or critical part quality issues 
  • Provide design for manufacturability & serviceability feedback in future product development processes 
  • Responsible for design intent assembly requirements of HV System, on the assembly line 
  • Advice on build process development andpossible improvements to ensure design intent is not compromised 

 

Skills 

 

  • Product problem-solving skills using industry-standard techniques. 
  • Data analysis skills using statistical tools such as Minitab or JMP, and programming/tools such as Python or MATLAB
  • Prototype build or launch event participation preferred. 
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes related to HV system marriage to the vehicle and associated variables of interest. 
  • Knowledge of instrumentation, including data collection, hardware selection, electrical/electronic signal processing, and communication hardware is a plus. 
  • Experience with automotive-grade adhesives, plastics, cooling systems, and metal components. 
  • Experience using DFMEA, PFMEA, DVP&R, DFM, and RCA with cross-functional teams. 
  • Strong communication and documentation skills using Atlassian products. 
  • Proficiency in CATIA or 3DX, stack-up analysis (2D and 3D), and GD&T. 
  • Collegiate FSAE, BAJA, or similar experience preferred.

 

MinimumQualifications 

  • Education: BS in Electrical, Mechanical, or Automotive Engineering; or MS in Electrical, Mechanical, or Automotive Engineering. 
  • Experience: 4+ years of experience in electric vehicles or other high-voltage systems with a BS degree; or 2+ years of automotive experience in design and release of vehicle attributes with an MS degree. 
  • Experience using vehicle and system-level communication or diagnostic tools for troubleshooting complex multi-variable issues. 
  • Experience working with HV systems within BEVs. 
  • Knowledge of HV Battery Packs, HV Harnesses, onboard charging units, and associated troubleshooting at the system and product level. 
  • Experience with various types of end-of-line tests and setting robust pass/fail criteria.
