THIS OPPORTUNITY:

We're building our pipeline of Compositing talent for some upcoming work and want to hear from artists at every stage of their career - from graduates cutting their teeth to seasoned Compositors leading shots end to end. If you're passionate about creating jaw-dropping, photoreal VFX, love blending elements seamlessly, and want to push creative boundaries alongside a great team, we want to hear from you.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Depending on your level of experience, your day-to-day could include:

• Building high-quality digital composites from brief to final across a full range of VFX work - 2D/3D tracking, matte extraction, element layering, colour grading, digital matte painting, and roto/paint work
• Collaborating with the VFX Supervisor, Compositing Lead and wider team to bring shots to life, contributing to creative and technical decisions rather than just executing them
• For more experienced artists: leading shots, mentoring junior team members, and contributing to pipeline development, colour management workflows, and process documentation
• For those earlier in their career: developing your craft under the guidance of senior artists while contributing to real production work from day one

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

We're keen to hear from artists across all levels - Graduate, Junior, Mid, and Senior so requirements will naturally vary with experience. Generally, we're looking for:

• • Compositing experience or training across feature film, television, and/or commercials (a strong showreel is fine in place of industry experience for graduates and juniors)
  • Nuke skills appropriate to your level - from solid fundamentals through to advanced Gizmos/Groups workflows, script troubleshooting and optimisation, and LookDev/template setup for more senior candidates
  • A grasp of cinematography, photography, and colour science principles
  • Well-developed artistic sensibilities - the ability to read a note, interpret the intent, and execute
  • Basic Python scripting is a bonus at any level
  • Strong communication skills - clear direction, constructive feedback, and keeping people informed
  • Good time management and the ability to prioritise under production pressure
  • For senior candidates: experience supporting and developing junior team members

IMPORTANT — ELIGIBILITY:

You must currently be based in New Zealand and hold full rights to live and work here. We're looking to fill roles almost immediately, so please only register your interest if you meet this requirement.
