Logistics Support Specialist

VPT, Inc., a global leader in providing power conversion solutions for avionics, military, space, and industrial applications, is seeking a full-timeLogistics Support Specialist for our office in Blacksburg, VA.

Position Type: Full-time, Temp-to-Hire after contractual trial period.

Role Overview:
The Logistics Support Specialist provides administrative support across all office operations for VPT's Logistics Department, which manages finished goods inventory and shipments. This role also includes cross-training in Accounts Receivable duties to provide departmental coverage.

Responsibilities include:

• Provide Accounts Receivable backup by processing and applying cash receipts.
• Manage sales order processing, including physical file creation and document printing.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for intercompany inquiries regarding shipping schedules, item availability, and order history.
• Handle data entry into the export compliance system for pre-shipment verification.
• Compile and distribute scheduled reports utilizing ERP and reporting systems.
• Support facility operations by answering the main phone line, stocking supplies, and submitting maintenance requests.
• Coordinate with headquarters and other departments as needed.
• Participate in quarterly stock checks using handheld inventory scanners.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

• US Person status
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams).
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with a strong command of professional etiquette.
• High attention to detail and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Adaptability to fluctuating daily work volumes.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in a professional office setting.
• Prior experience with ERP systems, shipping logistics, or inventory control.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Anticipated Starting Salary: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour.
