Job Summary

As a Parts Advisor you will be responsible for providing parts and merchandise to customers while providing exceptional customer service.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Answer telephone and greet customers & vendors in a friendly and professional manner.

· Take customer orders, clarify requests, identify parts needed, and offer alternative solutions if necessary.

· Complete sales by entering purchased items into sales/inventory system, obtain payment, add to credit account, and issue sales receipt.

· Maintain clean and professional appearance of counter, work area, and stockroom.

· Interact with the Service Team to coordinate parts for repair and service.

· Offer in-house and customer tech support.

· Order parts from suppliers based on Service Department and customer requests.

· Receive, unpack, and store parts in appropriate storage areas so they are readily available when needed.

· Pick parts, pack, and ship orders as required.

· Take inventory, maintain records of goods received, and keep perpetual inventory controls.

· Process parts warranties and returns as necessary.

· Support Bloomfield, CT office with ordering parts.

· Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

• Previous parts experience
• Understand basic components and systems
• Radio/Telecommunications service experience
• Ability to work independently and as an active member of a team.
• Strong multitasking, time management and prioritization skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and initiative.
• Strong foundation and understanding of technology.
• Strong understanding of transmission, broadcasting, switching.
• Control and operations of telecommunications systems.
• Solid mechanical background
• Strong understanding of public safety
• Strong and proven background providing excellent customer service.
• Good interpersonal skills as communication will be required
• Ability to follow a detailed process.
• Proficiency with all Microsoft Office Products

WORKING CONDITIONS

· Ability to work business hours of Monday Friday 8am-4:30pm. Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening work.

· Capability of climbing equipment or structures to access work areas
