Logbook research analysts are professionals responsible for maintaining, organizing, and verifying logbook related records. Main duties include ensuring compliance with FAA regulatory standards, tracking maintenance and updating data accurately. Attention to detail and knowledge of relevant regulations are key skills for Logbook analysts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Not listed in order of importance. Other duties may beassigned)

As a logbook research analyst, you will be auditing compliance of repeat turbine engine inspections and component changes and ensure they are tracking at correct time intervals.

Review and research of engine logbooks and other related records, as they pertain to the repair and overhaul or servicing of gas turbine engines, components, parts and accessories.

Review, analyze, and prepare engine records, including logbooks and compile the information for the applicable engine.

  1. Verify Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletincompliance.
  2. Verify for accuracy engine component hours andcycles.
  3. VerifyEnginemodificationstatus.
  4. Create, enter and update data into database trackingsystems.
  5. Responsible for accuracy by internal auditingprocedures.
  6. Assist in support of other Quality Control functions asrequired.
  7. Relay the project status/research and report any discrepancies to the applicable team leader/manager.
  8. Additional duties as needed by QualityManager.

Qualifications

Qualifications, Specific skills, and Competencies (INCLUDING LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS)Required:

    • FAA airframes & power plant license (preferred)
    • High School diploma orequivalent.
    • Ability to evaluate problems and formsolutions.
    • Proficient in Microsoft word, Excel and various other computerprograms.
    • Must be able to work independently while performing repetitivetasks.
    • Ability to express or exchange ideas with peers, team leaders andmanagement.
 

PHYSICALDEMANDS

    • Exposure to prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and keyboardinput.
    • This is a FAA safety-sensitiveposition.

 

    • Maintains control under lock and key of logbooks asrequired.
    • Comply with all established general and industrial safety rules andregulations.
    • Lift at least25lbs.

 

 

WORKENVIRONMENT

    • Engine shop environments, including hoists, heavy parts andchemicals.
    • Environment may include brief periods of elevated noise exposure which may require the use of hearingprotection.
