Schedule: Approximately 20 hours/week, onsite
Dark Horse Technologies is seeking an experienced, hands-on IT professional to provide part-time technical support for the Base Training and Education Services organization at Barksdale AFB. The position supports a diverse Education Center technology environment and includes desktop and network support, equipment lifecycle management, Microsoft 365 and SharePoint support, database and testing-system support, and direct technical assistance to Education Center personnel.
This is an onsite position averaging approximately 20 hours per week during normal Education Center operating hours and is well suited for an experienced IT professional seeking a stable, long-term part-time opportunity.
Required Qualifications
- 2–5 years of hardware and software application support experience.
- CurrentCompTIA A+ certification.
- CurrentCompTIA Network+ certification.
- Experience withWindows 10/11 Enterprise and Microsoft 365.
- Knowledge of Air Force computer/network security regulations.
- Experience with standard network and electronic equipment installation practices.
- At least one year of relevant professional or volunteer experience within the last two years.
- Strong customer service and written/verbal communication skills.
- Working knowledge of foreign language and Professional Military Education (PME) testing.
- Ability to meet Barksdale AFB access and National Agency Check requirements.

- Prior Air Force, DoD, military, or Federal IT support
- Education, training, or testing-center technology support
- Pearson VUE or Air Force eLearning
- Familiarity with DLAB, DLPT, or Professional Military Education testing
- Microsoft SharePoint administration
- Database administration or data migration
- Network infrastructure and structured cabling
- Video surveillance systems
- DoD/Air Force cybersecurity requirements
- Equipment lifecycle management and refresh planning
- User training and technical documentation
