Litigation Associate Attorney (2nd Year)

About the Role

Our client is seeking a 2nd Year Litigation Associate Attorney to join its sophisticated business litigation practice in Palo Alto.

This role is ideal for a junior litigation associate with strong commercial litigation fundamentals, exceptional writing skills, and experience working on complex matters in a fast-paced law firm environment. Associates in this practice work on high-stakes business disputes for sophisticated clients across a variety of industries.

The ideal candidate will be intellectually curious, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple high-level assignments while consistently producing thoughtful and high-quality work product.

Key Responsibilities

• Support business and commercial litigation matters through all phases of litigation

• Conduct:

  • Legal research

  • Case analysis

  • Fact development

• Draft and review:

  • Motions

  • Briefs

  • Discovery materials

  • Litigation-related correspondence and filings

• Assist with:

  • Discovery management

  • Witness preparation

  • Case strategy development

  • Trial preparation activities

• Collaborate closely with partners and litigation teams on sophisticated disputes

• Manage multiple active assignments while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and work quality

Required Qualifications

• 2 years of significant commercial litigation experience

• Experience at a comparable law firm strongly preferred

• Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills

• Superior written communication and drafting abilities

• Ability to manage multiple sophisticated assignments simultaneously

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills

• Strong academic credentials from a nationally recognized law school
