Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role
• Administer and manage OpenShift clusters on bare metal and virtual infrastructure.
• Plan and execute migration of applications from VMware to OpenShift platform.
• Manage Linux OS at hardware/backend layer including patching, performance tuning, and capacity management.
• Design and maintain High Availability (HA) and failover mechanisms for OpenShift.
• Work with storage, networking, and security teams to ensure stable cluster operations.
• Monitor OpenShift and backend infrastructure health and troubleshoot issues.
• Implement automation for cluster operations using Ansible or scripting.
