Life Enrichment Coordinator PRN

Carolina Meadows, a prestigious senior living community in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, is seeking a creative and passionate Life Enrichment Coordinator to join our dynamic team. As a Life Enrichment Coordinator at Carolina Meadows, you will have the opportunity to enhance the lives of our residents through engaging and meaningful activities that promote physical, emotional, and social well-being.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a diverse range of recreational and educational programs for residents, taking into consideration their interests, abilities, and preferences.
• Coordinate and facilitate group activities, such as arts and crafts, fitness classes, games, cultural events, and outings.
• Conduct individual assessments to identify residents' unique needs and interests, and create personalized activity plans.
• Encourage resident participation and engagement in activities, fostering a sense of community and belonging.
• Collaborate with other departments and staff members to ensure seamless coordination of events and activities.
• Maintain accurate records of resident participation and progress.
• Stay updated on current trends and best practices in senior life enrichment, and incorporate innovative ideas into the program.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering positive relationships and a vibrant living environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Recreation Therapy, Gerontology, or a related field preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
• Previous experience in life enrichment, recreational programming, or a related role, preferably in a senior living or healthcare setting.
• Passion for working with seniors and a genuine interest in enhancing their quality of life.
• Creative and resourceful, with the ability to plan and organize engaging activities for diverse populations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with residents, families, and staff.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Flexibility in working schedule, including weekends and evenings as needed.
