About Us

Salt and Light Psychological Services, PLLC is a psychologist-founded, multi-provider outpatient behavioral health practice serving the DFW Mid-Cities area. We provide psychotherapy, psychological assessment and testing, and specialized evaluation services for adolescents and adults.

Our practice has an established commercial insurance panel, active government and specialty referral relationships, and a growing psychological assessment division. As we continue to expand, we are looking for a psychologist who wants to practice across multiple areas of clinical psychology rather than being limited to a traditional therapy-only role.

The Role

We are seeking a Texas Licensed Psychologist to provide a combination of psychotherapy, psychological assessment, and veteran disability evaluation services.

The exact clinical mix can be shaped around the psychologist's experience, interests, and the needs of the practice. A psychologist may maintain an outpatient therapy caseload while also completing psychological testing and structured one-time evaluations.

This is an opportunity to step into an established practice with referrals, administrative infrastructure, scheduling, billing, credentialing, and clinical support already in place.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual psychotherapy to adolescents and/or adults consistent with your clinical training and areas of specialization.
  • Conduct psychological evaluations, including diagnostic clarification, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, medical or pre-surgical clearance, and other specialty assessments.
  • Administer, score, interpret, and integrate psychological and psychometric testing.
  • Conduct structured, objective veteran disability and compensation-related evaluations through established referral and contracting relationships.
  • Complete clinical interviews and review relevant medical, psychological, and collateral documentation.
  • Produce thorough, timely, and well-supported psychological and evaluation reports.
  • Develop treatment plans and maintain appropriate clinical documentation within the practice EMR.
  • Collaborate with therapists, psychologists, referring providers, and other members of the clinical team as appropriate.
  • Maintain a sustainable caseload based on a combination of therapy, assessment, and evaluation services.
  • Contribute to the continued development of the practice's psychological assessment and specialty evaluation programs.

Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree in Psychology (PhD or PsyD).
  • Active, unrestricted Texas license as a Licensed Psychologist.
  • Training and experience in psychological assessment and testing.
  • Strong diagnostic and clinical judgment.
  • Strong written communication and report-writing skills.
  • Ability to complete documentation and evaluation reports reliably and on time.
  • Ability to work independently while participating in a collaborative clinical team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience providing outpatient psychotherapy.
  • Experience with ADHD, autism, trauma, or other psychological assessment.
  • Experience conducting disability, compensation, independent, or other structured psychological evaluations.
  • Experience working with veterans or military populations.
  • Additional specialty training or areas of clinical expertise.

What We Offer

  • Established therapy and assessment referral base.
  • Existing veteran and specialty evaluation opportunities.
  • Full administrative, scheduling, billing, and credentialing support.
  • Broad commercial insurance panel with established payer relationships.
  • Flexibility to develop a clinical mix that incorporates therapy, testing, and evaluation work.
  • Flexible scheduling with both in-person and telehealth services where clinically appropriate.
  • Experienced clinical leadership and a collaborative multi-provider environment.
  • Opportunities to develop specialty areas of practice.
  • Opportunity to help grow the practice's psychological assessment and specialty evaluation programs.
  • Full-time position, with part-time arrangements potentially considered for the right candidate.
  • Full-time employees receive health benefits / PTO / paid holidays / training allowance / retirement.
