The Koch Internship Program (KIP)is a paid experiential learning program run by Stand Together Fellowships that offers professional development, leadership training, and meaningful work experience at non-profits tackling some of our nation's most pressing policy challenges all over the United States. Early-career professionals including undergraduate/graduate/law students and recent graduates are encouraged to apply. Eligible candidates will be geographically located in and authorized to work in the United States through the duration of the program. Successful candidates will interview with both our non-profit partner organizations and Stand Together Fellowships staff, so we strongly encourage you to begin the admissions process early!
About the Martin Center: The Martin Center’s goal is to renew and fulfill the promise of higher education in North Carolina and across the country by educating citizens and policymakers and advocating policies grounded in classical liberal principles. Since 2003, the Martin Center has been a voice for excellence and accountability in higher education. We advocate responsible governance, viewpoint diversity, academic quality in teaching and learning, cost-effective education solutions, and innovative market-based reform. Our approach to reform is twofold: First, we use “sunlight” to expose critical issues in higher education through opinion articles, newsletters, events, and research. Our work informs parents, alumni, taxpayers, and policymakers to spark conversation and policy change. Second, we promote actionable solutions for state legislators, university trustees, and other university decision-makers to improve higher education governance and practices. The Martin Center is located in Raleigh, North Carolina. This role is open to remote or in person work. Job summary:Research interns conduct research on higher education policy issues and write short articles for publication on the center’s website. The intern may also assist with tasks around the office, such as library organization. Qualifications:

Interest in reforming higher education
Strong writing and communication skills
Strong research and data organization skills

Stand Together Fellowships pays participants a stipend of either $7,500 for full-time participants working approximately 32 hours per week at the partner organization, or $5,500 for part-time participants working approximately 24 hours per week at the partner organization. Attending the entirety of the online and on-site KIP programming is required for both full and part-time participants.
