Learning Program Manager, JP Ops PXT Learning and Talent Development

The JP Ops LTD team’s mission is to establish the standard learning platform overarching multiple businesses such as Fulfillment Centers, Amazon Logistics, Amazon Transportation Services, Global Specialty Fulfillment and others in Japan Operations by creating, localizing and implement innovative and scalable leadership development solutions with long-lasting and measurable results. The ideal candidate is resourceful, customer-focused and team oriented, with strong communication skills, has the ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders, is able to shift gears in line with business priorities, and enjoys the challenges of developing and improving processes in a dynamic organization. The successful candidate will also have exceptional written and verbal communication skills, superior attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Moreover, the ability to work in dynamic and ambiguous areas is imperative.

Key job responsibilities
This role owns the strategy and execution of leader onboarding and development programs, defining success measures based on business impact. The Learning Program Manager develops and delivers scalable, world-class learning that enables leaders to serve customers best. Responsibilities include establishing consistent processes to design programs across modalities—online, classroom, virtual instructor-led, and blended—using rapid, agile techniques. The role partners with global stakeholders such as the Global Ops Learning Development team, and with local stakeholders—senior leaders, functional learning teams, and HR business partners—to align programs with business needs.

Basic qualifications

- 3+ years of project management experience
- Experience analyzing data to make business decisions
- Speak, write, and read fluently in Japanese
- Speak, write, and read fluently in English
- 3+ years’ work experience creating Learning and Development program or experience of people development.

Preferred qualifications

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Instructional Design, Adult Learning, Learning Design Principles, Learning Science, Educational Psychology or a related field
- Experience formulating and implementing training and performance improvement strategies
- Experience with eLearning authoring tools and other design programs including: Storyline/Rise 360, Vyond, Adobe Creative Suite, and Camtasia
- Experience creating and validating competency and job architecture models, including creating KSA (knowledge, skills and abilities) and competencies assessment to drive learning paths and learning program design
- Experience effectively communicating complex concepts through written and verbal communication
