Responsibilities: 

• end-to-end delivery of configuration services for a product line throughout the lifecycle, including: 

• collection of configuration requirements from various stakeholders (primarily based at German headquarter sites) while providing advisory regarding company design standards 

• finalization of product configuration specification in standardized templates, including consistency & feasibility checks, given the company specific modelling standards 

• delivery planning in collaboration with lifecycle engineering and project managers 

• variant configuration coding or code analysis in SAP ecosystem following the detailed company specific standards (standardized building blocks for most specific configuration problems available) 

• maintenance of additional data such as pricing, foreign-trade information, pictures, etc. in various connected applications 

• coordination of the validation (UAT, stress test) of the configuration model regarding behavior of the user interface and translation of user selections into production orders 

• processing of support tickets from data management key users, mainly supporting order fulfillment departments and sales & distribution partners across the globe 

• providing improvement ideas for processes, standards, and tooling – alignment and implementation of these ideas not expected 

Candidates profile: 

• bachelor’s degree in engineering or business information systems or a similar qualification 

• 5-8 years of experience in master data management or a similar function 

• proven proficiency in requirements engineering with technical and non-technical functions, such as sales and product management 

• ability to plan and schedule multiple simultaneous and complex work packages and engage stakeholders across the globe to make their contributions in due time and quality 

• strong expertise in the SAP modules SD andLO-VC (variant configuration) or AVC 

• ideally experience in SAP CRM, SAP BRIM and Salesforce 

• good understanding of innovation transfer, supply chain, and sales processes 

• systematic and thorough working style 

• strong analytical skills with an eye for critical details 

• fluent in English communication and knowledge of any additional language.
