What You’ll Do:

  • Review incoming work request tickets in Jira and manage work assignments for the other wiring harness technicians
  • Review work order tickets for completeness of instructions, make kits for the wiring harness techs, and update status of Jira tickets
  • Track and maintain inventory of hardware in the lab
  • Coach junior techs on the correct tools and techniques for crimping, soldering, and other tasks associated
  • Diagnose faulty harnesses and make necessary repairs
  • Make complex harnesses and PCBAs, as required
  • Support audits to ensure high quality of harnesses 
  • Enforce very high cleanliness and safety standards in the lab

Who You Are:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Lab Manager; preferably managing a power electronics or electrical lab within the automotive or aerospace industry 
  • Experience with managing technicians
  • Experience with tools like Jira and Coupa
  • Strong communication skills - both verbal and written
  • Understanding of 2D drawing layout
  • Motivation to learn on the job and take ownership

Desired Skills & Certifications

  • IPC Certification: Current or priorIPC/WHMA-A-620 (Certified IPC Specialist) status.
  • Soldering Standards: Familiarity withJ-STD-001 for soldered electrical and electronic assemblies.
  • EV Experience: Knowledge of high-voltage safety protocols and orange-cable handling/shielding.
  • Lean Methodologies: Experience with 5S, Six Sigma, or similar quality management frameworks.
