Lead Technical Developer – Snowflake

Job Overview

We are seeking an experiencedLead Technical Developer - Snowflake to design, architect, and deliver enterprise data solutions. In this role, you will lead end-to-end data engineering initiatives on the Snowflake platform, driving data pipeline development, optimization, and cloud architecture best practices within an enterprise health environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Architecture & Development: Lead the design and implementation of scalable Snowflake data warehouses, data marts, and complex ETL/ELT data pipelines.
• Technical Leadership: Guide and mentor data engineering teams, conduct code reviews, and establish Snowflake best practices and standards.
• Performance Optimization: Monitor, optimize, and fine-tune Snowflake queries, warehouse sizing, cluster configurations, and storage utilization.
• Integration & Governance: Integrate Snowflake with enterprise source systems and analytics platforms while ensuring strict data security, compliance, and governance.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with data architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into robust technical deliverables.

Required Qualifications

• Snowflake Expertise: 8+ years of hands-on data engineering experience, with deep expertise in Snowflake architecture, Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, and SQL/Python stored procedures.
• Technical Stack: Strong proficiency in SQL, Python/Scala, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Data Engineering & ETL: Extensive experience building complex data pipelines using tools like dbt, Matillion, Airflow, or Informatica.
• Leadership & Enterprise Experience: Proven experience leading technical delivery in large-scale enterprise environments (healthcare/payer domain experience is a strong plus).
• Certifications: Snowflake Advanced Certification (SnowPro Core / Architect) highly preferred.
