About The Job:
L3 Engineer is responsible for the L3 management of Azure Virtual Desktop Infrastructure, Citrix platforms, Windows Servers, incident management, monitoring alerts, automation initiatives, infrastructure maintenance and continuous service improvements.
- Manage Azure Virtual Desktop, Citrix XenApp, XenDesktop, NetScaler, Ivanti UWM and Windows Server environments.
- Perform routine maintenance activities on Azure and Citrix services following best practices.
- Automate recurring operational tasks using scripting.
- Participate in incident calls, root cause analysis and continuous improvement programs.
- Support rotational on-call responsibilities.
- Design, install, monitor and support Citrix systems and associated infrastructure.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting for Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops, XenApp, XenDesktop, NetScaler, MCS, UPM and StoreFront.
- Manage Citrix farms, sessions, printers, application publishing and log monitoring.
- Administer Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, RDS and Windows 10/11, Server 2016/2019/2022.
- Perform server health checks and maintenance activities.
- Manage NetScaler issues, firmware upgrades, certificate renewals and load balancing virtual servers.
- Work with VMware, Client, Hyper-V and XenServer environments.
- Coordinate deployments, upgrades and patch management.
- Handle P0, P1 and P2 incidents and contribute to problem management.
- Administer Ivanti products and user profile management.
- Manage Citrix and Windows patch deployments and SCCM activities.
- Support L1/L2 teams in resolving incidents and requests.
- Work within Incident, Request, Change and Problem Management processes.
- Ensure SLA, KPI and ITIL compliance.
- Drive Continuous Improvement Plans (CIP) to improve infrastructure stability.
- Provide communication and stakeholder updates during critical incidents.
- Create, maintain and update documentation.
- Use monitoring tools such as SCOM, BEM, Zabbix and Citrix Director.
- Demonstrate strong multitasking and organizational skills.
- Automate recurring manual tasks using scripting.
- Maintain and enhance Infrastructure as Code.
- Manage Terraform code integrating Azure Virtual Desktop and published application environments.
- Implement architecture and code enhancements for Azure platform changes.
- Maintain Terraform module parameters.
- Document code and deployment procedures.
- Implement automation for VM builds and power management.
- Contribute to GUI development for Terraform parameter integration.
- Address functional requirements through automation and engineering solutions such as logging and monitoring.
