Lead Sorting Room Worker (9054)

Schedule/Hours: 30 Hours per week

This position is responsible for:

Lead and participates in the work performed by employees, beneficiaries and/or community service workers in the warehouse; ensures that all donated items are processed through the warehouse in a timely manner and in accordance with established standards; ensures the thrift store remains adequately stocked.  

Key Responsibilities:

• Serves as lead worker to warehouse staff (employees, beneficiaries, and community service workers); schedules and monitors their work.

• Ensures the work in performed in compliance with established standards, policies, and procedures. 

• Monitors the supply of items available in the thrift store in order to determine the areas needing additional stock from the warehouse. 

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Ability to meet attendance requirements.

Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language.

Ability to operate a cash register.

Ability to perform routine mathematical computations and count change.

Work requires the ability to lift and carry and/or push/pull heavy (50-100lbs.) materials, supplies, and equipment frequently.  Heavy mobility: duties are usually performed plus operating a vehicle.

Work is performed in a normal store environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated in changes with the weather.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR IN YOU

• High school diploma or G.E.D AND

• One (2) year progressively responsible experience working in a warehouse work with a list six-month experience in a lead capacity OR

• Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Licenses and Certifications:

Valid Driver's License
