1.Hard Skills (Engineering the Cloud-Native Archive)Core DevelopmentStrong proficiency in C# and database technologies.
C# is the primary language for building most of the backend services for the cloud archive.
Cloud Expertise Deep knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Must go beyond following instructions tounderstand how GCP services function.
The services are built as microservices on a Kubernetes foundation, requiring high-level designand deployment skills to mature the production-ready archive.
Domain KnowledgeExperience with healthcare medical imaging standards (DICOM, HL7, FHIR, enterprise imaging).
The archive is for radiology and cardiology images, with a goal to evolve into a "true VNA"Nice-to-HavesFamiliarity with Java (for certain GCP services) and front-end development with React.
2. Soft Skills (Driving Senior-Level Development)Skill CategorySpecific RequirementsSeniority and DesignMust be able to design and architect microservices.
The team is hiring senior-level engineers who need to move the product from its currentmature stage (10 to 100 on a scale) to its next phase of evolution.
Proof of Work Ability to clearly articulate and demonstrate that they have truly done the work, not juststudied the fundamentals.
This is essential to ensure candidates can handle the complexities of a productionized productwith seven-figure revenue and a large existing customer base.
Problem SolvingSkill in handling failures, negatives, and all sorts of design aspects related to complex services.
Necessary for supporting and evolving a critical, high-volume healthcare imaging archive.
Core Function: It manages and stores medical images and associated data in the cloud,with the goal of evolving into a true Vendor Neutral Archive (VNA).
The team alsobuilds applications that allow radiologists to review CT/MR scans and create reports.
Technology Stack: The entire cloud platform is built on Google Cloud Platform (GCP),utilizing a microservices architecture based on Kubernetes (GKE), with most backendservices written in C#.
Business Goal: The long-term strategy is to migrate hundreds of existing on-premisecustomers to this new cloud-native archive solution.
