Lead Software Developer - Vpay

Aspire Software is looking for aLead Software Developer to join our team in Lebanon.

What your day will look like

• Lead, mentor and grow a team of backend engineers by setting technical direction, coding standards and best practices
• Own the architecture and technical design of enterprise web applications on AWS, from concept to production
• Make key decisions on technology, scalability, security and cost, and balance short-term delivery against long-term maintainability
• Work with Product, QA, DevOps and business stakeholders to turn requirements into realistic plans and timelines
• Lead code reviews, design reviews and technical discussions
• Drive the use of AI-assisted development tools and workflows across the team to improve productivity and quality
• Act as the escalation point during production incidents: lead root-cause analysis, coordinate fixes and put preventive measures in place
• Find and reduce technical debt, and keep improving engineering processes (CI/CD, testing, observability)

• • A Computer Science or Software Engineering degree, or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of backend development experience, including 2+ years in a technical lead or team lead role
  • Deep expertise in Node.js (Nest.js, Next.js or Express) or Python (Flask or Django), and in NoSQL databases (MongoDB)
  • Proven experience designing and delivering enterprise web applications on AWS, with strong knowledge of API Gateway, Lambda, Cognito, Amplify, Application Load Balancers and ECS/EKS
  • Hands-on experience building secure, scalable AWS architectures using VPCs, IAM security policies, Kubernetes, Docker and MongoDB Atlas
  • Demonstrated skill with AI tools for development, and the ability to help a team adopt them
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and monitoring/observability tools
  • A track record of mentoring engineers and building a strong engineering culture
