Role Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled and experiencedLead Automation Test Engineer with strong expertise inPlaywright (TypeScript),API Automation, andSQL, along with hands-on experience inAzure DevOps. The ideal candidate must havesolid leadership experience, capable of driving automation strategy, mentoring teams, and ensuring high-quality deliveries.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and drive thetest automation strategy using Playwright with TypeScript.
• Design, develop, and maintainrobust UI automation frameworks.
• Build and executeAPI automation tests.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Developers, Product Owners, DevOps) to ensure quality at every stage.
• Analyze requirements and definetest scenarios, test cases, and automation strategies.
• Integrate automation suites intoCI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
• Performdatabase validation using SQL queries.
• Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance.
• Ensure best practices intest automation, code quality, and reporting.
• Monitor test execution, debug failures, and provide root cause analysis.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement.

Mandatory Skills

• Strong hands-on experience inPlaywright with TypeScript
• Expertise inUI test automation frameworks
• Experience inAPI automation (RESTful services)
• Good knowledge ofSQL / Database testing
• Experience withAzure DevOps (CI/CD pipelines, test management)
• Strong understanding ofautomation design patterns and best practices
• Leadership experience (must-have) – handling teams, mentoring, and delivery ownership

Good to Have

• Experience with BDD frameworks (e.g., Cucumber)
• Knowledge of performance testing basics
• Exposure to cloud environments (Azure preferred)
• Experience in version control tools like Git
