Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to bridge business needs and technology solutions within Insurance, Wealth Management, and Financial Services domains. The ideal candidate will be responsible for requirements gathering, business process analysis, stakeholder management, Agile delivery support, and ensuring business objectives are translated into clear, actionable requirements. This role requires close collaboration with Product Owners, Architects, Developers, QA teams, and business stakeholders to drive successful project outcomes while maintaining compliance and governance standards.
Key Responsibilities
·Elicit, analyze, document, and manage business and functional requirements.
·Create detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and maintain product backlogs.
·Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, Developers, QA teams, and business stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
·Facilitate Agile ceremonies including backlog grooming, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
·Conduct process analysis, process modeling, and identify opportunities for business process improvement.
·Perform data analysis, data mapping, and support data-driven decision-making.
·Manage requirements traceability from inception through implementation and testing.
·Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test scenario creation, execution coordination, validation, and stakeholder sign-off.
·Ensure compliance with regulatory, governance, audit, and risk management requirements.
·Analyze business impacts, identify gaps, and recommend effective solutions.
·Facilitate stakeholder discussions, workshops, and requirements sessions.
·Mentor and guide junior Business Analysts while providing functional leadership.
·Support system integration initiatives involving APIs and enterprise applications.
·Prepare business documentation, process flows, and project artifacts using industry-standard tools.
Required Skills
- Strong experience in gathering, eliciting, and documenting business and functional requirements from key stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage requirements throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Expertise in creating detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and business process documentation.
- Experience maintaining and prioritizing product backlogs in collaboration with Product Owners.
- Ability to define and document both functional and non-functional requirements for complex business applications.
- Strong understanding of business process analysis and continuous process improvement methodologies.
- Experience managing end-to-end requirements traceability from initiation through deployment.
- Strong experience in data analysis, data mapping, and business data validation activities.
- Working knowledge of SQL and reporting tools for data extraction, analysis, and reporting.
- Understanding of APIs, system integrations, and enterprise application workflows.
- Experience creating process models, workflow diagrams, and business flow documentation using tools such as Visio or Lucidchart.
- Hands-on experience supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test scenario creation, execution, and business validation.
- Proficiency in Jira and Confluence for requirements management, Agile delivery, and project documentation.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio.
- Hands-on experience working within Agile delivery environments and Scrum frameworks.
- Experience facilitating Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Product Owners, Architects, Developers, QA teams, and business stakeholders.
- Strong experience coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure timely project delivery.
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and end-to-end delivery management practices.
- Ability to manage priorities, dependencies, risks, and project deliverables in fast-paced environments.
- Strong understanding of Insurance business processes, products, and operational workflows.
- Experience within Wealth Management and Financial Services organizations.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance, audit requirements, and governance frameworks.
- Familiarity with risk management practices and controls within regulated financial environments.
- Understanding of insurance policy administration, claims, underwriting, and customer servicing processes.
- Experience working with US Supplemental Health and Worksite Insurance products is highly preferred.
- Exposure to insurance platforms such as Guidewire, Duck Creek, Majesco, EIS, and wMA is an added advantage.
- Banking domain experience will also be considered highly relevant.

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in Insurance, Financial Services, or Wealth Management organizations.
- Proven experience working with Agile delivery teams and enterprise-scale transformation programs.
- Experience mentoring junior analysts and leading business analysis activities across multiple projects.
