About The Client:

About The Job:
- Experience: 7+ Years
- We are looking for an experienced Talend Developer to support the assessment, migration, validation, and phased decommissioning of existing Talend workloads as they transition to Databricks.
- The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on expertise in Talend Data Integration, Java-based Talend customizations, and legacy ETL workflows.
- The role requires close collaboration with architects and Databricks engineers to ensure existing business logic, dependencies, reconciliation rules, and runtime behavior are accurately understood and reproduced during migration.
Essential Job Functions:
- Work closely with architects to review the existing Talend inventory and identify job dependencies, hidden coupling, shared routines, JARs, plugins, joblets, context groups, and custom components.
- Classify Talend jobs into simple, complex/custom, and difficult categories.
- Identify and document platform-specific protections, configurations, custom Java implementations, third-party components, mainframe integrations, and Kafka touchpoints.
- Review CodeCrafter-generated extracted logic across representative samples from each complexity category.
- Validate, correct, and annotate inferred business rules before conversion activities begin.
- Explain legacy Talend behavior to Databricks engineers, including ambiguous expressions, null and reject handling, type coercion, scheduling behavior, and job execution logic.
- Support Gate 1 source baselines by documenting how existing jobs are parameterized and executed.
- Analyze existing run history and identify where reconciliation logic resides.
- Participate in mismatch and reconciliation triage to determine whether variances stem from Talend behavior, source data issues, or conversion defects.
- Document findings, resolutions, and recommendations to support migration acceptance.
- Provide guidance on decommissioning sequencing to ensure Talend jobs are retired only after Databricks equivalents have been successfully accepted.
- Collaborate with architects, data engineers, and platform teams to ensure successful migration outcomes.
Qualifications:
Must-Have Skills

- Strong expertise in Talend Studio.
