Senior QA Engineer – Test Automation (Java/Kotlin, Selenium, RESTAssured)

We are seeking an experienced Senior QA Engineer with a strong background intest automation using Java/Kotlin,API testing with RESTAssured, andUI automation using Selenium. The role involves designing and maintaining automation frameworks, ensuring high test coverage for APIs and applications, and actively contributing to quality engineering practices across the SDLC in an Agile environment.

Test Automation & Quality Engineering

• Design, develop, and maintaintest automation frameworks usingJava/Kotlin
• Develop and executeAPI automation tests usingRESTAssured
• Automateweb application testing usingSelenium WebDriver
• Ensure comprehensive validation of REST APIs (request/response, schema, status codes, edge cases)
• Implementdata-driven, reusable, and scalable test automation solutions
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and end‑to‑end testing

CI/CD & DevOps Collaboration

• Integrate automated tests intoCI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
• Support continuous testing and provide automation feedback for builds and deployments
• Collaborate with DevOps and development teams to improve test execution reliability

Quality Ownership

• Participate inrequirements analysis, test planning, and test strategy discussions
• Identify quality risks early and propose automation-based solutions
• Analyze test failures and perform root cause analysis
• Log, track, and validate defects using defect tracking tools such asJIRA

Leadership & Collaboration

• Review automation code and ensure adherence to best practices
• Mentor junior and mid-level QA engineers on automation and testing practices
• Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and architects
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA standards, tools, and processes

Technical Skills

• Strong programming experience inJava and/or Kotlin
• Hands-on expertise withSelenium WebDriver
• Strong experience inAPI testing using RESTAssured
• Experience withTestNG or JUnit
• Proficiency with build tools such asMaven or Gradle
• Experience usingGit or other version control systems
• Solid understanding ofRESTful services, HTTP methods, and JSON
• Experience working inAgile/Scrum environments

Testing Expertise

• Strong knowledge oftest automation principles and best practices
• Experience withfunctional, regression, and integration testing
• Familiarity withBDD frameworks (Cucumber) is a plus
• Experience testingmicroservices-based applications is an advantage

• 6–9 years of experience in software testing
• 4+ years of hands-on experience in test automation using Java/Kotlin
• Proven experience in API and UI automation in enterprise or product-based environments

• Exposure toDocker / containerized test execution
• Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Performance or security testing exposure
• Knowledge of Kotlin-based automation frameworks
