Lead I - Software Engineering

About The Job:

• We are seeking an experiencedDrupal Developer with strong expertise in Drupal implementations, custom development, and third-party integrations.
• The ideal candidate will contribute throughout the software development lifecycle, from estimation and technical design to development, testing, deployment, and documentation while working closely with cross-functional teams.

Essential Job Functions:

• Drive proactive development initiatives with a focus on modern architecture, security practices, and scalable solutions.
• Develop new user-facing features and enhance digital experiences.
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use and maintainability.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and performance.
• Collaborate closely with designers, solution architects, developers, testers, and stakeholders.
• Lead the development, review, testing, and deployment of Drupal-based web and mobile solutions.
• Implement strong coding standards to ensure efficiency, readability, maintainability, and code reuse.
• Adopt robust CI/CD practices to enable shorter development, build, and release cycles.
• Develop and enhance UI components, modules, and website functionality.
• Ensure technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and provide implementation recommendations.
• Continuously improve Drupal expertise and contribute to technical innovation within the team.
• Support open-source development best practices and help deliver exceptional customer experiences.
• Implement and optimize Core Web Vitals at the Twig template level.

Qualifications:
Preferred Qualifications & Experience

• 2–5 years of experience developing Drupal modules, UI components, and integrating Drupal with multiple third-party systems.
• Strong experience in Core PHP using MVC and MVVM architecture patterns.
• Hands-on experience with MySQL/MariaDB database operations and stored procedures.
• Strong knowledge of web technologies including PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.
• Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs.
• Knowledge and practical experience with CI/CD implementation and automation.
• Strong documentation, communication, and team collaboration skills.
• Experience working within Agile and Scrum development methodologies.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment solving complex technical challenges.

Good to Have Skills

• Acquia Drupal Certification.
• Working experience with React or Angular.
• Experience working on projects hosted on Acquia.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with testing methodologies including TDD and BDD.
• Experience with modern DevOps and cloud-native development practices.
