Lead I - DevOps Engineering

About The Job:

• Required Experience: 8+ Years in Backend Development
• We are looking for a highly skilled Backend Engineer with strong Subject Matter Expertise in AWS and cloud technologies.
• The role involves designing, implementing, optimizing, and supporting cloud-native solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams to build scalable, secure, and highly available applications and infrastructure.

Essential Job Functions:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Java, NodeJS, GoLang, or Python.
• Architect and support cloud-native solutions on AWS.
• Deploy, manage, and optimize containerized workloads using Kubernetes and Client EKS.
• Implement Kubernetes RBAC, workload security controls, and vulnerability remediation practices.
• Manage container registries including Client ECR.
• Design and develop secure REST APIs and backend services.
• Work with SQL and NoSQL databases to support scalable application architectures.
• Implement and manage GitOps deployment models using ArgoCD.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using CloudFormation and Terraform.
• Develop and maintain serverless solutions using AWS Lambda.
• Monitor cloud environments and troubleshoot production issues to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with DevOps, Security, Infrastructure, and Development teams to deliver secure and scalable solutions.
• Implement cloud security best practices and vulnerability remediation activities.
• Support CI/CD automation using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar DevOps platforms.
• Create technical documentation, architecture diagrams, operational procedures, and knowledge-sharing materials.

Qualifications:
Must-Have Skills

• 8+ years of experience in backend application development.
• Strong hands-on expertise in one or more of the following technologies:
  • Java
  • NodeJS
  • GoLang
  • Python
• Strong experience with Client EKS and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes RBAC, workload security, and vulnerability remediation.
• Experience with containerization and Client ECR.
• Strong expertise in AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) and least-privilege security models.
• Experience developing and integrating REST APIs.
• Strong SQL and NoSQL database knowledge.
• Hands-on experience with ArgoCD and GitOps deployments.
• Strong expertise in AWS services including:
  • EC2
  • S3
  • VPC
  • Auto Scaling
  • Security Groups
  • Public & Private Subnets
  • Route 53
  • CloudFront
  • Snapshots
  • Direct Connect

• Strong experience with AWS Security Services including:

  • Trusted Advisor
  • KMS
• Hands-on exposure to CloudFormation, Terraform, and AWS Lambda.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.
• Strong troubleshooting experience related to cloud infrastructure and production systems.
• Strong understanding of networking, security, and data management concepts in cloud environments.

Good to Have Skills

• Experience with AWS Application Migration Service (CloudEndure).
• Experience with AWS Database Migration Service (AWS DMS).
• Knowledge of AWS Server Migration Service.
• Exposure to AWS Bedrock.
• Experience with Client SageMaker.
• Knowledge of AI/ML workloads on AWS.
